What this means

Last reviewed 2026-09-06.

What this measures

Your totals for the local day as one source reported them: steps taken, active minutes, and the energy your device estimated you used.

How your device works it out

Steps are counted from the motion sensor, and energy is an estimate your provider models from movement, heart rate and whatever profile details it holds. Only steps are a count; the rest are estimates, and each provider models them differently.

What generally moves it

Where you carried the device, pushing a trolley or a pram, cycling, driving on a rough road, and a day the device spent off you or on charge.

Why Thriverence shows it

It is the part of the picture you can see yourself, and it sits beside Readiness as what the day asked of you rather than as a target the product set for you.

What it is not

These totals are not a measure of health and no figure here is a goal you are being graded against. They do not measure how hard you worked, and they are never used to say anything about a medical condition. Support resources are below if you want to talk to somebody.

This explanation is the same for everyone who reads it. It is about the measurement, never about your own readings.
